General Terms and Conditions:
Pricing and Tour Payment Schedules A 20% deposit is required in order to reserve your desired Tanzania holiday package. A second payment in the amount of 30% of the balance will then be due four months prior to the first day of your trip with the final payment (50%) due two months prior to the first day of your trip. If you are making a booking less than four months in advance of your travel date we will require an initial payment of 50% upon booking and in the case of late bookings (2 months or less) we require full payment upfront.
Assumed Park fees When we quote you a price it will include the following assumed park fees: Arusha, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara National Parks ($35 per adult per 24 hours); Serengeti National Park ($50 per adult per 24 hours); Ngorongoro Crater $50 per adult per 24 hours plus $200 per vehicle for a half day in the Crater. All fees in Northern parks are $10 per child 16 & under. Selous Game Reserve $50/adult and $30/child under 16 plus a conservation of $25 per person per 24 hours; Mikumi, Ruaha, Rubondo and Udzungwa National Parks $20/adult and $5/child under 16. Mahale National Park $80/adult and $30/child. Gombe National Park $100/adult and $20/child under 16.
If you will be skipping any of these parks then the fee will be adjusted accordingly.
Hotel Reservations: Hotel reservations cannot be guaranteed until they are paid in full and on very rare occasions the hotel themselves cannot meet an obligation they previously agreed to. In the event that we do have to make alternative arrangements we strive to allow travelers input on the alternative location but do reserve the right to make this decision alone if time does not permit us to discuss it with the customer. In the case of such changes package prices are adjusted accordingly.
If travelers wish to amend their itinerary after a contract has been signed we will do our very best to accommodate their wishes. However any cancellation fees charged will be charge to the customer.
Any change requested by a customer after a contract has been signed will accrue a £50 change fee per item changed in addition to any increase or decrease in costs being applied. Ipam Safaris will however allow one change free of charge before the first day of the trip as a courtesy.
In the event that a traveler must cancel their reservation for any reason a cancellation penalty will be accessed as follows: If a reservation is CANCELLED The cancellation PENALTY will be as stated below: More than 90 days prior to first land day -20% of total price More than 30 days and less than 91 days prior to first land day- 30% of total price More than 7 days and less than 31 days prior to first land day – 50% of total price 7 days or less prior to first land day- 100% of total price.
To consider a cancelation valid we must recieve written notification. Emails are acceptable. Any customer who is a no show for the trip will not be refunded their costs and we cannot make refunds to customers who do not complete their itinerary.
Ipam Safaris does not hold itself responsible, nor can it be held responsible, for any delays prior to departure or, during the course of any tour mentioned whether brought about by technical difficulties, strikes, weather conditions or any other circumstances whatsoever, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
It is understood that any expenses relating to these unscheduled extensions or curtailments (eg. hotels, meals, airfares, telephone calls, etc) will be the traveler’s responsibility. We do however strive to make every effort to ensure that all arrangements and services connected with your tour will be carried out as specified in the most efficient and effective way possible. However, we do not have direct control over the provision of services by suppliers and, whilst they are in all cases selected with the utmost care, we do not accept liability for error and omissions of such suppliers.
Ipam Safaris cannot accept responsibility for any actions that result from a customer failing to ensure that they have met all required passport, visa and health requirements.
Ipam Safaris strongly advises its customers to purchase adequate travelers insurance and that such coverage be purchased at least 15 days in advance of their trip.
Once payment, in full or in part, has been made by a customer they are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and to have entered into a legal contract with the Company.
Ipam Safaris are only the acting agents for the numerous independent suppliers who will provide only as an agent for the various independent suppliers that provide hotel accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, activities, or other services connected with the tours booked through us.
Such services are subject to the terms and conditions of those suppliers. Ipam Safaris and their respective employees, agents, representatives, and assigns accept no liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or any other incident which may be caused by the negligence, defect, default of any company or person in performing these services.
Responsibility is not accepted for losses, injury, damages or expenses of any kind due to sickness, weather, strikes, hostilities, wars, terrorist acts, acts of nature, local laws or other such causes. All services and accommodations are subject to the laws and regulations of the country in which they are provided. Ipam Safaris are not responsible for any baggage or personal effects of any individual participating in the tours/trips arranged by us. Individual travelers are responsible for purchasing a travel insurance policy, if desired, that will cover some of the expenses associated with the loss of luggage or personal effects.
